---Well, it should be interesting, particularly since that has already ended. The British may just withdraw from New Orleans in such a situation.--- With a humiliating amount of causualties, I would be unsual. Plus, the British had in-dept plans to captipulize on New Orleans, which I will soon mention in my story. |

I am currently outlining my first Alhist story/essay, where Britain and the U.S. are prolounged into a longer War of 1812, after New Orleans is taken by the British in Janaury of 1815. The battle starts the same way in our OTL. Except Gen. Pakenem (Spelling???) is simply wounded during the battle, instead of dying. Therefore, when the British uner Lt. Col. Thronton are able to take a stragecic postion on the West Bank of the city, he is able to take charge of the battle until victory is met (In OTL, his sucessor ordered Thorton to withdraw fron the West Bank in order to join the suicidal main attack). I have began outlining a TL, and I have just posted a excerpt of my short story (needs revison) in the amateur writing forum. Feel free to question or comment... |
