Love the chapter, it’s definitely not subpar! But one minor nitpick, could (at least in the late 1400s) a person who committed suicide be buried on church property? I’m not an expert on the Canon Law (I am a Catholic tho), but I’m somewhat sure that the law against this wasn’t removed until 1983.
Lets just say a exception was made because of the tragic circumstances and that her suicide had been brought on by her husband planning to divorce her.
Ooh lovely, very action packed and it's great to see Maximilian working with Hedgwig to acquire Hungary...
I think this chapter went better than I hoped for. Maximilian now has Hungary too.
Another anti-Ottoman campaign is in the cards, if only for Kaiser Max to further secure the loyalty of the Hungarians.
The ottomans, the swiss and others will all be having quarells with Maximilian and his heirs.
If they manage to take Wallachia things would be interesting.
We will see what happens. I can assure readers that Bohemia will also become part of the empire later 😉
