Fair Queen Mary

Henry VIII
In 1528, Catherine of Aragon, the Queen of England had died and Henry VIII was considering an annulment to the pope so that he can marry his own love, Anne Boleyn prior to her death, who he had already in his side and wanted to marry after his own annulment.

Catherine of Aragon died in 1528 and Henry VIII wore yellow clothes on her death and Catherine of Aragon would be said to have said on her last breath for her husband, Henry VIII to take care of their own daughter, Princess Mary.

“Henry, please take care of our daughter, Mary.”

Henry VIII married Anne Boleyn, his mistress at that time and Anne Boleyn would give birth to another daughter named Elizabeth on September 7, 1533 which disappointed him, much to the displeasure of the King but years after rumors of heresy against Anne Boleyn would have sprouted out which the King would have used to get rid of Anne Boleyn himself, during this time Princess Mary, the heiress at that time is married to James V of Scotland, Anne Boleyn had repeated pregnancies afterwards and they resulted in miscarriage.

On 1536, Anne Boleyn would be burnt at the stake for heresy as Henry VIII would know himself that Anne Boleyn herself is a heretic and did not have male issue of her own and had negotiated for Princess Mary of Portugal’s hand prior, and on 1536, Henry VIII would remarry to Maria of Portugal as his third wife after his second wife was executed, Maria of Portugal bore his own son, Edward, the future Edward VI on October 12, 1537, however Edward VI would die in 1553 soon after the death of Henry VIII in 1547 and Maria of Portugal would end up as Philip II of Spain’s second wife as well due to her being excluded from the regency and decided to return to Portugal afterwards and gave birth to a healthy son named Ferdinand on January 4, 1549.

On 1553, after the death of her brother Edward, Mary and her eldest surviving child with her husband, James V, Mary of Scotland(December 8, 1542) would come to Westminister to be crowned, Mary Tudor, would be the first Queen of England who would secure the throne in England and her eldest surviving daughter and namesake Mary Stewart would have received many suitors for her hand as she is the heiress to England and Mary herself would have seen her grown sister, Elizabeth, the daughter of the heretic Anne who is still unmarried yet at this point since Edward VI had not find the suitable husband for her yet, her daughter Margaret Stewart(February 2, 1544), the younger sister of Mary Stewart would replace the place of Elizabeth Tudor in the marriage market in England after Mary herself became queen, the offers of marriage with Elizabeth Tudor would halt after Mary became the queen herself.

The Spanish conquest of Tondo and Manila
On 1570, Lakandula, Soliman, and Aceh of Manila and Tondo would decide to fight the Spanish colonizers led by Miguel Lopez de Legaspi who settled in Cebu as they had already convinced Madyaas and Sugbu to give up their own suzerainty and independence against the Spanish, earlier during the Magellan-Elcano expedition, Rajah Aceh was defeated by the Spanish and kidnapped by the Spanish they would fight the Spanish again due to him knowing the intentions of the Spanish in the area himself as he was kidnapped by the Spanish decades ago after being defeated by the Spanish, the Spanish would defeat the Kingdoms of Tondo and Maynila and the Sultanate of Macabebe would arise as the nemesis of the Spanish, the Spanish would later conquer and secure the Bruneian holdings in Palawan and Mindoro that Sultan Bolkiah conquered himself in the prior century.[1]

The Sultanate of Macabebe would be the nemesis of the Spanish in the North just like the Maguindanao and Sulu are their nemesis in the South.

Note:

ITTL the Kingdom of Macabebe does what Johor did to Melaka and Sultanate of Maguindanao but in Luzon.

1. Lakandula and Aceh's OTL actions don't made sense as they betrayed and sold out their kingdoms ITTL, so here they decide to defend it themselves.

Just a question. For your final paragraph, what did Mary see Elizabeth to do?

I would tell that in the third installment, Mary would have some animosity with Elizabeth and her daughters would come before her in the betrothals.
Why is there any animosity in this TL when Katherine died naturally and Anne is just second wife with NO overlap with her mother?
It will be interesting to see...and also if Katherine had died in 1528, how is Henry considering annulment with pope?

Anne is found as a heretic so Mary does not like Elizabeth as well here.

Fair Queen Mary
On 1553, Queen Mary, the Queen consort of Scotland would be crowned as the Queen of England as her young brother, Edward VI died at a young age, she would be known as the fair queen of England due to her complexion and reputation, but she is not seen as good in the eyes of the reformers.

There is a long betrothal between Elizabeth of England and Francis of France which would be broken in favor of Margaret of England and Scotland, her second daughter, the marriage was supposed to accompany Edward’s betrothal with Elizabeth of France who would be Philip II’s third wife after the death of Maria of Portugal who had given him a healthy son, Ferdinand II of Spain(1549), Maria of Portugal decided to leave and remarry after the death of her first marriage to secure an alliance with Spain for her son but she would meet her death on 1554 after a complication of a miscarriage.

Mary Tudor would receive letters from her former Stepmother, Maria of Portugal and her new husband Philip II of Spain, guaranteeing an alliance and letters from her ally in England, Margaret Douglas who herself had her son, Henry, Lord Darnley betrothed with her own daughter Mary which would surprise the other monarchs as they wanted a match with Mary as she is the heiress of the two kingdoms of Britain.

Elizabeth would have another offer and it would be Sigismund Augustus but now as a proxy of the Habsburgs to marry her but the negotiations would take long and the other suitors of Elizabeth Tudor had gone their eyes to Margaret of Scotland and England, Sigismund Augustus would marry Elizabeth Tudor on 1554, a marriage that would produce a daughter named Anna of Poland(November 2, 1556).

Mary Tudor did not like her sister, Elizabeth due to her mother’s reputation as a reformer and heretic as she was wary of her as well due to her knowing her mother’s affair with her father while her mother was alive.

On 1559, Mary I, herself would die and James V would not remarry after her death and chose to secure the succession of his daughter, Mary II in Scotland and prepare the marriage of his daughter, Margaret to the king of France, Francis II and arrange the marriage of Darnley and his daughter Mary as that would continue the Stuart rule in Scotland and make the Stuarts rule England.

On 1560, Margaret of England and Scotland would arrive in France only to find her first husband, Francis II die just after the marriage and she returned to England afterwards in the court of her sister but not before the departure of her former sister-in-law, Elizabeth of France, she was able to witness her sister-in-law, Elizabeth leaving the court of France to marry Philip II, she would eventually marry Duarte, Duke of Guimaraes, securing the Portuguese succession.

Sigismund the old? Isn't he 67 years older than her?

Newfoundland and New Normandy
During the reign of Mary I in 1554, she would correspond to Philip II in a letter that Newfoundland is an English discovery due to Cabot just after the Spanish had discovered the new world that it is their own colony in the New World prior to the treaty of Zaragossa to establish the new colony in the New World.

This would be the beginning of the Colonies of New Foundland and New Normandy which would have boundaries with Quebec in New France, the colony would be English speaking as well and they would also import settlers from Wallonia and Germany as well which are allies of the King of England the colony of New Normandy would be established by English explorers the reign of Mary II on 1560 which would be acknowledged by Queen Mary II of England, this would be later strengthened on the reign of James VI and I, the colony of New Normandy is comprised of Nova Scotia and New Normandy[1].

New England would be established by James VI and I on his own reign.
