B) Adopting a new alphabet would provide practical benefits in terms of interoperability of machinery etc. with the rest of the world
It started with the almost imperceptible footsteps. Yet to be heard across the room extensive soundproofing, footsteps that had to be vigorous and heavy. Together with their quick-march cadence and among all, the pair of almost heel-like clicks, revealing the coming retinue identity.
Then came the rapid shouting of orders. The patterned-knocks on the door. And finally, it opened. Like a brief window into the busy hallway outside, its sounds washed away the quietness inside.
A background noise of clerks a dozen incessant droning, in several languages to boot. Shuffling of papers. Squeaking of wheels. Singularly and distantly, even what sounded suspiciously like a human scream of agony.
Then the door closes, and all sounds from beyond muffled into near-nothingness, once more.

Russian Alphabet
B) A new revolutionary one is needed to unite all people of the Soviet Union
While the Cyrillic Alphabet represents an important aspect of the Union Slavic cultures, it is a fact that this Union aspires to much loftier goals. The unification of all free and fraternal people under socialism. And the unfortunate reality is, this ancestral alphabet represents an additional obstacle towards said goal. It not only increases unintelligibility and isolation, in a world where, through admittedly Euro-American imperialism, the Latin Alphabet is slowly affirming itself as the standard. But is also for some people of our Union, a painful reminder of the oppression and imperialism they were until recently suffering under the Tsars.
As such, developing a new system. If not even language. May be necessary.
Regarding instead world events, breaching the isolationist and exceptionalist American hearts and minds is unfortunately a difficult affair. If nothing else, because of their devious electoral system punishing any political party to far away from the bourgeoisie tastes and so called center. Still, this just underlines the need to avoid the trap of electoralism and revisionism. To instead, also focus on building a parallel society. Of radical Trade Unions, mutual-aid organisations, insurances, school, kitchens, dormitories/living spaces/neighbourhoods, newspapers etcetera. But also, trained reservist militias, spies and informants, here with an essential role of our NKVD. As well as seeking our the cracks and contradictions of the American edifice, to leverage when the time is right.

While there was some heated debate, the original Czarist Russian Alphabet and the Cyrillic script were decided to be replaced with a more revolutionary one that washed away these last remnants of Russian Imperial dominance and hegemony in favor of a more Soviet and even more so Union and United approach to a new alphabet system. In reality both systems would coexist between one another, but while local regional languages, dialects and writing systems would maintain in the Socialist Soviet Republics themselves, including Russian in the Russian SSR, the new Soviet Union alphabet (Sovillic/ Unionic) would become the generally accepted binding writing system for official documents and texts and always have priority over the regional ones as a uniting factor for all Soviet people without discriminating against any by prefering one over the other system, but instead creating a new one for all. Similar to Experanto the system was later enhanced with a whole made up language for the very same purpose commonly known as Sovieto/ Uniono by all aound the globe and even tough as the new diplomatic writing and language system for foreign diplomats in the Soviet Union, with the hopes it might catch on faster that way. Especially holy books and majorly important works of local ethnic and religious groups were therefore the first to be translated, to not onyly show the Soviet Union cared for the local heritage by translating such important books first, but also to encourage the intellectual elite, as wel las those making new books to adopt the new system first and teach those below them the new system afterwards over time. Similarly the Turkish Republic changed from the previous used Arabic to a more Latin-based alphabet, but later followed the Soviet model and made up a new one that was meant to serve as the alphabet for all Turkic people ethnic groups around the world as a new unifying and nationalist pan-Turkic alphabet for Turkic languages not based upon Arabic, Latin, or Sovieto, but for the first time the Turkish own one, just like the Turkish Nationalists and pan-Turkic Movements ever had wanted. Meanwhile Rio de Janero saw a deadly seaplane crash, while in the United States the construction of the Boulder Dam is green lit. Much more important however, would be the decision by the Colombian government to send military forces to suppress months long strikes by workers of the United Fruit Company, resulting in many death. While tragic the incident boosts the support of Trade Unions, Socialist and Communist parties, groups and other movements in Columbia, which to no small part are supported by their brothers in Centro America and Mexico, as well as the Soviet Union alike.

When King Alexander of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes in Yugoslavia establishes the January 6th Dictatorship that threatened the nationalistic Croat, Slovene and other anti-Serbian movements and at the same time could give a potential opening for the Socialists, Communists and the Soviet Union backing them. Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu, an Albanian missionary sister arrives from Ireland to Calcutta, India, later known as Mother Teresa. In Belgium, the comic Tintin in the Land of the Soviets begins it’s first publication. A week later the Thimbe Theater has the first comic strip of the new hero Popeye. With the advance of Habibullah Kalakani’s forces into Kabul, the Saqqawist rule begins for nine months, while the overall Afghan Civil War continues. The book by Erich Maria Remarque, Im Westen nichts Neues (All Quit on the Western Front/ Nothing New on the Western Front, depending on the American, or British translation) is first published as a book. While overall hated in more pro-war circles and groups, like the German militarists, it is quickly translated into new Russian as На Западном фронте без перемен or На Западе без перемен and becomes a best-seller in the Soviet Union, as it not only depicts the war-weariness of the Western/ German soldiers, which according to the Soviet Union Preamble, directly results in the Kiel Sailors Uprising and the Bavarian Soviet Republic. As a result these German Soldiers and German Sailors were seen as the first true Socialist and Communist Revolutionaries in Germany and the heroes of the short lived Bavarian Soviet Republic and with it fellow Left-wing Socialist, Communists and Soviets. As a result the book Im Westen nichts Neues (All Quit on the Western Front/ Nothing New on the Western Front) becomes not only a best-seller in the Soviet Union itself, but also is viewed as one of the true revolutionary and soviet books, leading to author Erich Maria Remarque later earning a Hero of the Soviet Union medal to honor his literary work, but he had no strong ties to socialism and communism overall and rejected the medal sent to him.
